what the line means

The sun is the harvest. It is the source. Roughly a kilowatt per square metre arrives whether anyone collects it or not, and a panel turns some fraction of that into work.

Resonance is the frequency — the frequency at which a system is matched to what is feeding it. That is not poetry, it is where the losses live. Maximum-power-point tracking is impedance matching. A resonant converter moves power by being tuned. Wireless transfer works by coupling two things at the same frequency. Every one of those is the same act: tune it, and less of what arrived is thrown away.

A bulb and a laser can burn identical watts. The laser cuts steel because the phases are in step. No extra power entered — only the disorder left.

the stack

Collection on top, a living layer underneath, and the light carried down between them through optical fibre. A solar roof normally forces a trade — every square metre given to collection is a square metre taken from light. Piping some of it back down is an attempt to stop paying that trade in full.

Why carry light as light. Direct fibre-optic daylighting runs on the order of 50% end to end. Going the other way — sun to electricity, along a wire, back into a lamp — comes in under 1%. If the destination is light, converting it on the way throws away roughly fifty times over.

Why moss and algae. Plastic fibre is not equally transparent across the spectrum: green survives a long run best, red loses roughly twice as much. That green-shifted light is the band most plants reject — it is why leaves look green. Shade mosses are the terrestrial exception and photosynthesise on green alone, because a closed canopy leaves them nothing else. Green algae are the aquatic partner under the same fibre exit — culture vessels under the diffuser, still wet-side only. So the organism is chosen by the loss spectrum rather than by taste. Algae as battery. The culture is also a chemical store: light that survives the fibre becomes biomass — state of charge as growth (optical density, dry mass), discharge as harvest of that mass or a measured product path. Parallel to an electrochemical cell after MPPT, not a second sun. Optical input stays in the ledger; no free watts from green water.

Local and state generation. The stack is built for distributed generation at the site and for fleets that a city or a state can own: same unit, same lab-log, many roofs. Local means campus, municipal, community, and microgrid generation. State means portfolios of those units — public buildings, water-authority culture loops, aggregated DER — with electrical MWh and algae biomass kept in separate ledgers. Scale multiplies measured units; it does not invent a second source. Detail on /locus.

And what the plants give back. Measured green roofs cut surface temperature by tens of degrees and cooling load by anywhere from a seventh to most of it, through shade and evapotranspiration. Hardware trying to shed heat is a straightforward beneficiary.

where it fights itself

The living layer and the hardware want opposite air, and saying so is more useful than a diagram that hides it. Moss is limited by water rather than light — it has no roots and no real cuticle, and it suspends metabolism when the air dries. Algae live in water outright, so the wet side is a culture volume, not a damp tray — still humidity load against the dry bay. Equipment lives inside a moisture envelope that fails at both edges: static below it, condensation and corrosion above.

So the water keeping moss or algae alive is a humidity source pushing the machine toward its corrosion edge — slowly enough that nobody attributes it correctly. They agree about temperature and disagree entirely about water.

Which gives the rule the whole stack has to be built on: couple the heat, decouple the water. And a limit on the word regulate — evapotranspiration runs hardest when it is hot and dry and stops when the reservoir empties, so a planted layer narrows the swings without holding a value. how far this reaches

Resonance is not a second source, and nothing here is harvested from it. There is no energy taken from the earth’s resonance, no ambient field tapped, no machine that returns more than it is given. Those claims have a long history and none of them have ever worked.

The studio published that position before it had a solar company to sell — The Honest Free Energy: energy is conserved, no closed cycle does net work for free, a static field does no net work around a loop, and any framework claiming otherwise has stopped being physics. A venture from this studio does not get to cross a line a paper from this studio already drew.

And nothing is installed yet. No product, no panel on a roof, no date. What exists is the position and the intention, and this page will not invent the rest.
